In this episode of the Goal Getter Guide Podcast, I’m getting personal and honest about the identity-level shifts I’m making as I step into 2026.

This is not a goal-setting episode. It’s a boundary-setting episode -- a message to myself of how I will show up in this new year.

After naming 2026 as the year of the identity-based goal, I realized something important: if I want different results, I have to stop tolerating the patterns that kept me playing smaller than I know I’m meant to.

So in this conversation, I’m sharing the eight things Future Jen is officially done tolerating and why these shifts matter not just for me, but for any ambitious business owner who knows they’re ready to lead, decide, and move differently.

In this episode, you’ll hear:

  • How choosing spaciousness actually creates better results
  • What “half-visibility” looks like and why I’m done holding back
  • The mindset shift from treating your offers as optional add-ons to owning them as essential business infrastructure
  • Why spirituality and intuition belong in your business, not on the sidelines
  • How being the bottleneck in your own growth quietly caps your success
  • What it really means to stand firmly in your value without ego or apology
  • How fear of judgment shows up in selling, visibility, boundaries, and leadership
  • Why dimming your voice to keep others comfortable costs both you and the people you’re here to serve

This episode is raw and vulnerable, but I hope it inspires YOU to make 2026 the year that you remember what you're here to do and do it.

Happy New Year and welcome back to the Goal Getter Guide podcast. I am your host and guide, Jen Laffin, and today I'm sharing something a little personal. But it is important. Two weeks ago on my last episode, I shared how 2026 was the year of the identity based goal, and because I am practicing my, I'm someone whose statements that I talked about in that episode In particular,"I'm someone who practices what she preaches". I'm getting real with you in this episode. This episode is less about what I want to do in 2026 and more about who I'm choosing to become because 2025 taught me something loud and clear. If I want different results, I have to stop tolerating the patterns that kept me playing smaller than I know I'm meant to. So here are the things that future Jen, Jen in 2026 is. Absolutely done tolerating as I step into this new year. Number one, I am no longer tolerating, running at capacity as the norm. Busy is not the badge of honor that we pretend it is. As a matter of fact, busy has nothing to do with being effective. Future Jen chooses spaciousness instead of hustle. Clarity instead of clutter, deliberate creation instead of reaction. This year, I am leaning into my creativity more because I know that it makes me a more effective guide for my clients. As a generator in human design, this really matters. I thrive when I respond with aligned energy, not when I'm drowning in scattered obligations. 2026 is the year that I hold my business around energetic alignment, not exhaustion, and I hope you will too. Number two, I'm no longer tolerating half visibility. Yes, I do show up consistently. I'm on LinkedIn almost every day, and I produce this podcast for you here every week, but I've been holding back pieces of what actually makes my work powerful. My intuitive knowing, my pattern recognition, my own identity work, my spiritual lens, my teacher brain that reads the things that people don't say. Did you know that I taught fourth grade for nine years? Also, my ability to lead people out of fear and confusion. Future gen doesn't hide. Any of that anymore. Not to be louder and not to be flashier or bragging or getting too big for my britches, but to be more honest, more grounded and more fully expressed. I teach my clients to do this, and I'm pledging to do more of that myself too. Number three. I'm no longer tolerating treating my offers like optional add-ons. This is a really big shift for me. For years, I tiptoed around promoting my work because I didn't want to seem pushy. Hello, Midwestern conditioning. But here's the truth. My frameworks are not a nice to have. They are business infrastructure. My accountability method. Is transformational. My self-trust lens, it's life-changing, and my coaching is a catalyst for revenue, confidence, consistency, and important identity shifts that ripple through my client's lives and businesses future. Jen talks about her work as the solution, not a suggestion, and some people are not going to like this. They're going to see it as. Salesy and they're going to choose to leave my world, and that is fine. They are not my people. Number four, I'm no longer tolerating the idea that spirituality has to stay off to the side in my business, and I wanna be clear about this. I am not talking about. Religion. I'm talking about that deeper intelligence that we all have access to. Your intuition, your inner wisdom, the part of you that knows before you can explain why. Spirituality for me is the practice of listening for that truth, not forcing, not pushing, just following aligned guidance and trusting that the next step will reveal itself. En numerology 2026 represents the number one new beginnings this year already feels like a reset, a clean slate, a chance to lead from a place that feels more aligned than ever, and I am so excited for it. Number five, I am no longer tolerating being the bottleneck in my own growth, doing everything solo, trying to hold every role, avoiding delegation, skipping systems that would make growth easier. That version of me cannot take this business where it wants to go, where it needs to go. I have people to help and so I need people to help me Future. Jen builds a business she can grow into, not just survive inside, and it's time to make some changes. Number six, I am standing firmly in my value. This is a heart center shift for me. I know that my work creates lasting change. I know that my clients make more money, more decisions, and more progress because of it. I know my offers are investments, not expenses. When someone joins the Go-Getters Club or works with me privately, they're not buying accountability. They're buying momentum. They're buying identity shifts. They're buying decisions made faster and results that come sooner. They're buying the self-trust that compounds over time, and they're buying the infrastructure that makes their goals not just possible, but inevitable. That's serious value, and I am owning this, again, not from a place of ego, but from integrity because I want you to own your value to number seven. I'm no longer tolerating decisions. Made from fear of being judged, especially around selling spirituality, visibility, boundaries, bigger goals, and clearer standards. This is the year that I stop mentally apologizing for my power. And finally, number eight, I'm leaning even more into not tolerating, dimming my voice to keep others comfortable, and this includes my clients, the people I'm here to serve don't want watered down leadership. They want clarity, structure, honesty, identity level support and accountability that helps them move the needle. Future gen gives them exactly that in an even bigger way, but in a way that is direct and kind and insightful. I don't believe in fluff and I don't believe in shrinking. The people I'm here to serve do not want diluted leadership. They want straight talk and the honest conversation that makes them pause and see themselves clearly. They want the reflective questions that can shift their entire trajectory. They want identity level support that gets under the root of their self-doubt and they want accountability. That actually helps them move their needle. And when I hold back, I'm robbing my clients of that and I rob myself of the impact that I am here to make. So that is the list of things I'm done tolerating is I step into a new year of new beginnings. Of deeper alignment and bold leadership. I'm feeling a little bit exposed. I'm not gonna lie, but that's okay because I'm doing this work right alongside you. And so now I'll leave you with the same question I've been asking myself. What are you no longer willing to tolerate so that you can grow into the business owner that you were meant to be? Because when you answer that, honestly, the path forward gets a whole lot clearer. And if you are done shrinking, softening, or waiting for the perfect moment, and you're ready to step onto that path. We need to talk. I want to call you forward to become a member of the Go-Getters Club or to work with me privately. 2026 is the year that you accept the upgraded mindset and accountability support that matches your ambition and your plans.
